Biography

Maxim Medynskyi was born on March 22, 1989, in Bolgrad, Odesa region, Ukraine.

In 1995 he graduated from the Bolgrad Scientific and Educational Complex.

In 2011 he graduated from the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

From June 2011 to March 2013, he worked at EasyPay UA.

From 2012 – to 2016 he worked as a press secretary at the EIR Center for Energy Research.

From 2016 to 2019, he worked in the communications department at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

In 2014, he went to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fight against the Russian invaders.

He fought in the 79th separate airmobile brigade, where he became a political officer – deputy commander of the mortar battery of the 1st battalion.

Their battery was stationed in Sands and Vodyany, both before and after the capture of the airport, fought near Pavlopol and Starognatovka, and repeatedly participated in raid operations.

In February 2022, Maxim Medynskyi again went to the front when Russian President Vladimir Putin staged an open, full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

He has the rank of lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He has been married since May 2017, according to his Facebook page.

The couple has a three-year-old daughter.

How Maxim Medynskyi died

On April 29, 2022, Maxim Medynskyi died as a result of the shelling of company positions in the Kharkiv region, bessarabia.ua reports.

“The Bolgrad City Council expresses its deep condolences to the Medinsky family on the tragic death of the son of Maxim Medynskyi, a lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the Bolgrad City Council said in a Facebook post.

“Without a moment’s hesitation, our countryman began to defend Ukraine back in 2014, when Ukraine began to fight for true independence and independence, fulfilling its military and public duty … His example – to love and protect the Motherland at any moment, should be for us all an example of a useless, courageous and patriotic attitude towards the land on which we live,” adds the City Council.
