Is it true that Ilya Filatov was a long-term personal operator of Vladimir Putin
On May 4, 2022, the Proekt publication reported that Ilya Filatov had resigned from his position as a personal cameraman for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Vladimir Putin was finishing his speech about the beginning of the war against Ukraine. A recording of the performance was shown early on the morning of February 24. The president was filmed by his long-term personal cameraman Ilya Filatov,” the newspaper writes.
“Immediately after this shooting and the start of the war, the cameraman quit. “I have reached the ceiling in my profession,” Filatov himself told the Project. “Plus, I’m tired of sitting in quarantine for many months,” adds the Project.
Filatov’s acquaintances confirmed to the publication that his work with Putin required constant isolation, which is why many begin to abuse alcohol.
True, as Filatov’s colleague says, the dismissal coincided so strangely with the start of the war that the Kremlin immediately whispered about the allegedly careless statement of the cameraman about the events in Ukraine.
“At that moment, many officials were in such shock because of the attack on a neighboring country that they attributed any resignations to dissatisfaction with Russian aggression,” the newspaper writes.
On February 24, 2022, Putin declared a full-scale open war against Ukraine.
Since that moment, Russian invaders have been shelling Ukrainian cities and killing Ukrainians.
