From command of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the message of the Russian media about the alleged injury of the Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhnyi.
Thus, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov published a tweet.
“The President of Ukraine, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on 05/24/2023 at 10.00 heard at the Headquarters the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi 😉 and other members of the Headquarters,” Danilov wrote.
On May 24, 2023, the Russian pro-Kremlin propaganda news agency RIA Novosti reported that Valery Zaluzhnyi allegedly suffered a head injury and shrapnel wounds from a Russian missile attack on a command post near Kherson in early May.
“After the wound, he underwent a craniotomy, he will live, but he will not be able to do his job,” the agency noted.
In turn, the Dvach resource recalled that earlier the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, reported that the Wagner PMC on May 2, 10, 11 and 12 carried out a “series of events” when Zaluzhnyi was within range of their guns;
Dvach notes that Zaluzhnyi himself has not appeared in public since the beginning of May.
“At the same time, in October 2022, when the story about the“ swastika ”on Zaluzhnyi’s bracelet was circulating, he almost immediately got in touch with a refutation, but now for some reason he is silent; Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar commented on the absence of Zaluzhnyi a couple of days ago: “The commander-in-chief is in place. Does his job. We just talked.” She called the information about Zaluzhnyi’s injury an “information wave”; Also, photos of Zaluzhnyi were circulating on the net – first from the wedding, then from a vacation in Cyprus, but they all turned out to be old; On May 19, the Odessa university showed Zaluzhnyi’s speech at the conference, but he was there via video link with a blurry background and his address could have been recorded in advance,” writes Dvach.
