Biography
Alexander Buzakov was born on July 7, 1956, in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
In 1980 he graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute with a degree in ship power plants.
In the company “Admiralty Shipyards” for 23 years he made a career from a technologist to a chief engineer.
From 2004 to 2007, he held the position of General Director of OJSC Shipbuilding Plant Severnaya Verf.
In 2008, he became director of the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard.
Since 2008, he headed the Western Shipbuilding Center company.
On July 2, 2012, he was approved as General Director of the Admiralty Shipyards.
The Admiralty Shipyards, in particular, specializes in the construction of submarines that carry Kalibr cruise missiles, which Russia is now bombarding Ukraine with.

How Alexander Buzakov died
On December 24, 2022, the Admiralty Shipyards company announced that Alexander Buzakov had died.
“On December 24, the General Director of JSC Admiralty Shipyards, Alexander Sergeevich Buzakov, died suddenly,” the report says.
At the same time, the cause of death of 66-year-old Alexander Buzakov is not disclosed.
