Who is Phillip Adams and why did he kill Dr. Robert Lesslie and his family

Phillip Adams is a 32-years-old American professional football player, a former cornerback in the National Football League (NFL).

Phillip Adams started his sports career in his native city Rock Hill in South Carolina, then played college football for the South Carolina State Bulldogs.

Among his professional teams the San Francisco 49ers, the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Jets.

The footballer finished his career with the Falcons in 2015.

On April 8, 2021, AP reported that Phillip Adams was found dead.

According to local police and AP, on April 7 the former footballer shot with a gun 70-years-old Dr. Robert Lesslie, his 69- years-old wife, and two of their little grandchildren in the doctor’s house in Rock Hill.

One more man was killed, another one was injured.

A few hours later the following day Phillip Adams committed suicide in the nearby house.

The reason for the murder is unknown. But, according to AP, Adams’ parents live near the doctor’s home, and he was also a doctor’s patient.

Robert Lesslie was a popular physician, author of a few books, and the owner of a specialized website with health advice.
