Prince Philip

When is Prince Philip’s funeral

Prince Philip’s funeral is supposed to be held next week (April 12-18). There is no exact official date, The Sun reported.

But in the last cases of Royal Family member’s deaths, it took about a week between the day of death and the funeral.

Princess Diana died on 31 August 1997, but her funeral was held on 6 September.

The Queen Mother Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon died on 30 March 2002, her funeral was held on 9 April.

The only sibling of Queen Elizabeth II Princess Margaret died on 9 February 2002. She was buried on 15 February.

But it is already known that Prince Philip refused from a big state funeral. When he was alive, he insisted on a no-fuss public ceremony.

Also, according to coronavirus restriction, UK funerals are currently limited to 30 people, which suggests that the funeral will be held in a circle small.
