Tomer Hemed is an Israeli footballer who plays for New Zealand’s Wellington Phoenix as well as the Israel national team.
“Blessed week! Thanks for everything”, Tomer Hemed wrote in stories on his Instagram before the match with Australian football club Adelaide United.
As a result, he scored the second goal, which decided the outcome of the match.
Wellington Phoenix beat Adelaide United in the Australian A-League 2-1.
Tomer Hemed scored the goal from the penalty spot.
Wellington Phoenix has currently sixth place in the league, while Adelaide United has third.
Hemed was born in Israel. His father is a Syrian Jew and his mother is from Poland from an Ashkenazi Jewish family.
Hemed also has a Polish passport, which facilitated his transition to the European leagues.
He is the youngest of four brothers.
In 2013, Tomer Hemed married Israeli model Shunit Faragi, who took second place in Miss Israel 2008 show.
The couple has three daughters.
