Biography
Taras Chornovil was born on June 1, 1964 in Lvov, Ukraine.
He was a People’s Deputy of Ukraine III, IV, V, and VI convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
He was a member of the Party of Regions and supported Viktor Yanukovych.

Why Taras Chornovil was thrown into the trash
On June 13, 2023, activists in Kyiv doused Taras Chornovil with green paint, and urine, and then threw him into a trash can.
At the same time, the activists shouted to Chornovil that he was a traitor to the Ukrainian people.
Thus, they took revenge on Taras Chornovil for the fact that he had previously called the fighter Alina Mikhailova “an oligarchic whore.”
Alina Mikhailova herself reacted to the video where Chornovil was thrown into a trash can, expressing satisfaction.
“A video is circulating on social networks where a former regional, a political prostitute, and the head of Yanukovych’s headquarters are thrown into the trash. Firstly, I am incredibly glad that the glorious traditions of garbage lustration are alive. Regionals and traitors should look around, not be smart on TV,” she tweeted.
“Secondly, many thanks to the Ukrainian people that there are still many caring and principled citizens among us. Ukrainians do not forgive traitors, no matter what colors they repaint today,” she added.
“Thirdly, Tarasik, I don’t know where you constantly see green whores, but green is very suitable for your face. And the language is responsible for the words. Think…those!” – concluded Alina Mikhailova.
On May 29, 2023, Taras Chornovil published on his Telegram channel a fragment of Mikhailova’s interview with Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolova, where he stated that “green-cotton scum” are invited to programs, but “honest people” are not allowed to say a word.
