Budanov predicted the winner in the conflict between Prigozhin and Shoigu

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, predicted the winner in the conflict between the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Budanov spoke about this in an interview with the Antipodes project.

“Prigozhin’s influence has not diminished. Will Prigozhin win in the confrontation [with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Shoigu and the Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Gerasimov]? I think he will win. Their conflict is not staged, but real,” the head of the GUR said.

According to him, Gerasimov and Shoigu strongly advocated “for” the war against Ukraine.

“But they became victims of their own propaganda. The leadership of Russia invested in it in such a way that propaganda, in the end, began to influence them,” Budanov said.
