Nang Mwe San was born on 23 June 1988 in Kuching City, Shan State, Myanmar to a medical family.
She studied at Kamayuta Basic Education No. 2 High School.
Entered the Medical University in Yangon.
Became a doctor.
She has worked in local hospitals and non-governmental organizations in Shan, Kachin and Rakhine state, including camps for displaced Muslim Rohingyas.
Because of her photo in social networks, a public scandal erupted, and she had to quit the medical facility.
On August 5, 2022, following the 2021 Myanmar coup d’état, Nang Mwe San was arrested by the military junta on charges of damaging Myanmar’s culture and posting sexual images on websites.
As a result, Nang Mwe San was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
