Who is Dmitry Konoplev, how did he die and what kind of xenotherapy

Dmitry Vladimirovich Konoplev is the Managing Director of the Academician Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau from Tula, Russia.

Biography

Dmitry Konoplev was born on September 12, 1976, in the city of Gubakha, Perm Territory, Russia.

In 1999 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Faculty of Control and Applied Mathematics.

Received the degree of candidate of economic sciences.

At first, he worked at the Moscow Universal Bank “Tandem”.

From 2003 to 2008, he worked as an assistant to the general director for economics and finance at the Tactical Missiles Corporation Open Joint Stock Company.

Later he worked in state structures as an assistant to the financial director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport, deputy head of the Federal Agency for the Supply of Arms, Military, Special Equipment, and Materiel.

Konoplev came to the Instrument Design Bureau from the Far Eastern Center for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair, where he held the position of First Deputy General Director.

He became the Deputy General Director of the NPO High Precision Complexes company and the Managing Director of the Instrument Design Bureau.

Konoplev led the development of new complexes and missiles, air defense systems, anti-tank systems, small arms, and grenade launchers.

He was awarded the commendation of the President of the Russian Federation, the Order of Honor, the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II degree, the medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation “Participant in the military operation in Syria”, the medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation “For labor valor”, the medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation ” Mikhail Kalashnikov”, a silver medal “For a special contribution to the development of the Tula region”.

How Dmitry Konoplev died

On July 23, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Dmitry Konoplev had died.

On July 22, Mash reported that Dmitry Konoplev died during a xenotherapy session at the Xeospa clinic in Moscow.

“According to our information, Dmitry Konoplev died during the procedure with an oxygen mask – he breathed xenon to cure a headache and anxiety disorder. Doctors still cannot determine the cause of death, ”the newspaper writes.

Xenon therapy is a treatment of diseases based on the use of xenon gas inhalations.

This is an inhalation procedure, the patient breathes the indicated gas through a mask.

In 2014, the World Anti-Doping Agency equated xenon inhalation with doping.

In turn, edition 112 names acute heart failure as the cause of death of Dmitry Konoplev.
